Here we go.

Thursday Afternoon.

Being profound isn’t my brand.

It didn’t cross my mind to write this an hour ago. I haven’t been noodling on the paragraphs in some bougie journal with some bougie pen for a week on end. No, this is of the moment for me. Me. A text editor. A beautiful Autumn afternoon. I should be outside.

The newsletter I wrote for this week was light and bouncy, something I think I can pull off. See for yourself next week. Instead going with that newsletter, I’m listening to religious leaders of my/our community and they are saying it's ok to grieve and maybe we want to grieve together.

So tonight, as is our custom, we will say a prayer for our country. As is our custom, we will pray our Amidah. We will light our candles and drink our fruit of the vine and eat our challah. And as is our custom, we will listen to each other sing and pray. And we will honor what we hear. Bring yourself tonight and we will be there for each other. You know that.

And may it be for all of us a blessing.

See you tonight!
Gud Shabbes!

All my love,
brian.
